When it comes to holiday decorating, hitting a nice middle ground can be truly difficult. Most folks I know go all out, with nary a corner not decorated in some way for the season. I tend to fall in that holiday maximalist category since I have a tween daughter. Grace always giggles when we’re Skyping in February and my Christmas tree is still in the background. As hard as it is to pull out all of the holiday décor, it’s equally as difficult to pack it all away. And not just because it’s a lot – it tends to get a little sentimental for us and we just don’t want it to go away. Sadly, it has to, if for no other reason than it gets to the point that we just can’t move around and there’s no place to pile our everyday stuff.
I was thinking wouldn’t it be nice to have a few holiday accoutrements that could easily blend in and stick around all year? So yes, of course, I went and starting pinning and collaging. These pieces could definitely make it through all 12 months in my house. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do – especially that little white Mama deer! –Caitlin
