I love a flat, shiny wallpaper as much as the next girl, but sometimes it’s nice to use wallpaper to add some texture to a room. Grasscloth often gets a bad rap as being a little too 70s, but I think when used in the right context, it can look modern and sophisticated and add just the right amount of warmth to a room. I didn’t know until recently, thanks to Better Homes & Gardens, that “grasscloth” is actually a catch-all term for a range of natural fiber papers made of everything from hemp and jute to reed and arrowroot.
