2018 Gift Guide: Gifts Under $100

I still cannot believe how quickly this fall has come and that holiday season is already upon us! No matter what type of gifting you’re into, we’ve got you covered this year with a huge range of guides organized by price, recipient, style and more. We’ll have guides on last-minute gifts, no-purchase/DIY gifts, ideas for experiences you can create and share with people and ways to donate and give back to those in need. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite gift ideas under $100, with a focus on independent makers and indie shops that support creatives from a wide range of backgrounds and communities. I hope some of these will pique your interest or find their way into your homes this year! xo, Grace

Image above, clockwise from top left: Bent Heart Coat Hook $25, Colorblock Knit Pouches $24 each, Good Company Magazinr Issue #2 FEAR(less) $12.19 (Our newest issue!), Chalk Set $30, Sun Splatter Enamel Spoons $28, Terrazzo Chip Jars $68 each, Artifact Uprising Fabric Bound Photo Books $49+ (We have one for each of our pets and it’s literally the only object I thought about grabbing when there was a fire next to our house earlier this month), Tessa Perlow Embroidery $74, Leopard Tray from Collyer’s Mansion $42, Copper Candlesticks $38, Lingua Nigra earrings $65, Cofield Bud Vase $46, Spice Grinder $35 (How cute it this? It’s more like a mortar & pestle)

Image above, clockwise from top left: Tuesday Bassen Bobby Pin Set $15, Colorful taper candles $18 per set, Ceramic Berry Basket $16, Rayo and Honey “It’s Good You Are Here” pennant $45, Salish Pattern Bag by Louie Gong $102 (This is $2 over, but so worth it!), Hummingbird Pin $8.50, Colorful Crayon Set by Keetra Dean Dixon $59, Cacti Earrings $58, Arrow Choker by Maya Stewart $65, Print by Laurie Maun $60

I am so excited about the new 1991 Zine ($22), an indie zine from Minneapolis celebrating contemporary Somali culture and artists.

I could not be happier for Glory Edim. Her book, Well Read Black Girl (Finding Our Stories, Discovering Ourselves), is now out on shelves and it was a well-deserved smash success from day one. Pick up a copy and support these amazing writers this holiday season (and every other season). **Check out the guide to finding your community that Glory wrote for Design*Sponge!
