The Tropical Parade

Even though we’re heading into a full-on red, white & blue long weekend, it wouldn’t be summer without the annual return to oversized, leafy greens and nods to beach life. We’ve been on the lookout for orange/pink pieces that leans more towards The Endless Summer feel, but seasonal trends tend to play it safe these days and the palm frond remains a superstar.

With Boho/Global motifs still going strong, window shopping these days is filled with jungle botanicals and a good dose of rattan. We’ve rounded up some of our favorites from indie shops online and the usual suspects in the bigger box world. The trick here, if you’re going to actually dip into your wallet, is to find a piece that can brighten your space or closet when the grey days of winter set in.

We’ve also included some DIYs that make a great alternative to bringing in some of that tropical spirit with out having to click buy. If you are in the market for some festive pieces that celebrate the season, this edition of our Window Shopping column will hopefully help you along!

This tropical leaf DIY leather-spined notebook over at FallforDIY is adorable and could be recreated on paper only on a grander scale for wallhanging or papered closet interior.
Enjoy your holiday weekend!
