Making the Good Company Tour Accessible

Before I announce all the tour details tomorrow for our first ever Good Company Magazine Tour,  I wanted to mention that we are raising funds to help make all of our events more accessible to everyone. What does that mean? While all of our event spaces are ADA compliant, we know that there are other ways in which we could help make our events more accessible. We know that help with child care costs,  professionals (like sign language interpreters), and discounted or free tickets would make a big difference in people being able to attend, enjoy and benefit from the conversations and connections at these events. And our goal is to always make these events as open as possible to anyone who would like to attend.

Design*Sponge is a small independent business, so we’re hoping to pool our resources, along with help from our community, to support offering these opportunities to those in who need them most. So, we’re looking for brands and businesses to partner with and raising funds with the help of anyone who can help us provide these opportunities to those who need additional assistance. Our $7,000 goal will fully fund the following assistance:

  • 15 free tickets for those whom ticket costs would be prohibitive
  • Assistance with childcare costs
  • A sign language interpreter for those who are living with hearing impairment or loss

If you’d like to help (any donation make a big difference), you can donate here on our GoFundMe page.

If you’re a business who would like to partner with us to sponsor an element of these accessibility efforts, please email us here (submissions@designsponge.com) and we can discuss ways partner on this project. Thank you so much for your support! xo, grace
