Best of the Web +

This weekend I plan on settling in for the newest season of Donald Glover’s Atlanta, so when I saw this hand-written quote from Donald’s interview in The New Yorker, by Kayla Whaley, it felt like the perfect note to close the week on. “Authenticity” is a word I struggle with a lot, because I think everyone has a different version of what feels authentic to them, and that often changes over time. But the way that it’s explained here, as a process that happens as you create and grow, feels so spot on that I couldn’t resist sharing it as inspiration for the weekend. It makes me want to push harder to get through rough spots at work and in life to help figure out what’s most important to me and what feels the most meaningful. Until Monday, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and here’s to all of us finding more moments of authenticity, meaning and joy in our lives. xo, Grace

I’m loving this new makeup line called Fluide. They give back to LGBTQ+ causes and use models of all gender representations.

A Chicago Home Filled With Reflections of Family, Culture & Love

If you haven’t seen an issue of The Tenth Zine yet, check out their latest issue on Romantics. It’s a magazine of art, culture, life and work through the lens of black/queer culture. You don’t have to be a part of either of those identities to enjoy the content- it’s beautiful, ground-breaking and inspiring.
