The tiny house movement continues to grow as people attempt to downsize their lives and add a bit more freedom back by avoiding high cost mortgages and lots of material possessions. Maybe jumping on the tiny house train is a little scary for you without having tried it out but Getaway is aiming to change that. The venture-backed startup builds tiny houses, places them on rural plots of land, and then rents them out to those looking for a break or wanting to give them a try. So far, they’ve got houses up and running outside New York and Boston with hopefully more to come. If the idea intrigues you, catch Getaway on tonight’s episode of Shark Tank at 9/8c. In the meantime, check out some of their current accommodations.
