Liqui Contracts, a British furniture and lighting manufacturer, is set to launch the Theodore Bench Desk System at next month’s 100% Design. The design gets its name from the Theodore Roosevelt desk, a legendary desk designed by architect Charles Follen McKim in 1903 that’s been used by many of the United States’ presidents. The original desk still exists after more than a century and the Theodore Bench Desk System is designed with the same regard – to be both a durable and functional space for all of your work-related duties.
The modern desk stands out with its minimalist aesthetic that’s designed to be used as a two-seater workstation. The system allows for multiple workstations to be connected to fit a number of people working in an open office setup.
The Theodore desks can also be ordered with optional acoustic foam dividers for added privacy.
Each desk is made in Britain with 100% FSC-certified and sustainable solid oak with a top constructed of natural oak veneer birch ply. The brand has a strong focus on sustainability – they even use the offcuts from the Theodore desk to create handy trays that come with each desk.
