Years ago, registries were used to help kickstart a couple’s life together. They typically didn’t live together before marriage, and they were young. So young, in fact, they didn’t own pots, pans and such. Lately, however, couples are waiting longer and longer to get married, giving them more time to curate all the essentials for adult life. With this shift came changes in what comprises wedding registries. Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to see charities and goods that give back popping up in registries, and I absolutely LOVE the idea.
This year, why not extend the trend and pepper charitable gifts throughout your Christmas or Hanukkah list? All you have to do is send out an e-blast asking your loved ones to donate to your favorite non-profit organization in lieu of a gift or to only give gifts from brands with a charitable component.
