When you think of fiberglass, you probably think of the iconic Eames molded fiberglass chair but designer Asa Pingree shows that there are so many forms that can take shape with this material. His new fiberglass collection is inspired by his past as the son of a boatbuilder on an island off the coast of Maine. In designing a lounge chair, bench, ottoman, and daybed, Pingree explores the relationship between shape and balance as each piece is extremely sturdy yet light in form.
